When is the best time for newborn photos? I love taking pictures of brand new squiggy little humans. It’s wonderful to capture those early days, when there is a new baby in a family. Sometimes you may need to stay in for a few days or have an emergency C-section, but in an ideal world the first 2 weeks is really the best time. The first couple of weeks are best for many reasons – mainly because this is when it’s easiest to pose the baby because they are still tiny and very sleepy. The other bonus is that dad is usually still home on paternity leave and I always love to get those images of the whole family rather than just the baby. Showing the connection between all the members of the family is the best thing about a new baby shoot – as cute as those images of just the baby can be.
I am a newborn photographer Milton Keynes based in Olney. I cover Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire and I like to make the process as relaxing and fun as possible. For this reason I don’t have a studio. I come to your home for the shoot so we can take our time to do the shoot around feeds and lots of cups of tea.
Have a look and feel free to email email@example.com or call 07981 991881 with any questions. It’s best to get in touch when you are pregnant and pay a deposit to secure a date in my diary. I then juggle the weekdays when your baby arrives, so I can do a weekday shoot in the first two weeks. Here are selection of a few recent baby shoots.
I love to photograph in the babies nursery when I can, as this feels like a little peek into the family’s day to day life. It helps to create really lovely natural images.
It’s even better when there are older siblings to include in shoots.
