Wedding Culford School Suffolk

Wedding Culford School Suffolk

I just spent a lovely weekend in Suffolk photographing a beautiful wedding.  The wedding took place at Culford School, a private school set in stunning grounds with it’s own chapel in the grounds.

The bride arrived in a VW Camper van and the sun shone.  After the ceremony and the group photos, the bride and groom walked all the guests through the grounds to the main building.  There were drinks and canapés on the terrace before I took the bride and groom for a few moments of quiet and a few personal images.

Then on to a gorgeous meal and speeches followed by more fun and lots of dancing.

Some of the groom’s family and friends were not able to make the journey from Australia to be there on the day so the iPads were out capturing some of the most important moments of the day.

It was an absolutely lovely day – filled with sunshine, laughter, whiskey, popping candy and a ton of love.  The setting was beautifully English with shades of Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice about it .. and, as the night wore on, something a little closer to the Inbetweeners:)

This is a LOOOOOOOOOONG blog post – just too many to narrow down.  Enjoy.

Beautiful Intimate Wedding in Portmeirion Wales

Beautiful Intimate Wedding in Portmeirion Wales.

I was lucky enough to visit Portmeirion in Wales last weekend for the wedding of a lovely couple and their closest family members.  It was really lovely to be part of the day in such a beautiful and unusual setting – it really is a photographer’s dream.  I have wanted to visit Portmeirion since I saw pictures of it on a photo site a few months ago so it was wonderful to have the opportunity arise in such an unexpected way.

The ceremony took place at the Hotel Portmeirion in a lovely room called the mirror room which was a gorgeous setting and the mirrors created some great reflections during the ceremony which was both moving and lighthearted at the same time.

I popped to have a chat with the ladies whilst they were getting ready for the ceremony.  This is a lovely part of the day – a mixture of nerves and laughter.

The hotel is gorgeous the ceremony room – seating just 9 people – was perfect.  The ceremony was a lovely personal ceremony – with some great moments of fun amidst the formal vows.

Their 2 year old Grandson was in charge of delivering the rings – he did a wonderful job – and then insisted on remaining centre stage for the rest of the ceremony.

After the ceremony was a glass of champagne followed by a walk around Portmeirion Village.  There were no end of opportunities for photos and we had a nice relaxed wander about.

And always important to grab a Titanic moment if the opportunity arises.

Beautiful couple and a wonderful day – wishing you every happiness.

In case anyone is interested I first saw Portmeirion on this link about 12 amazing places you would not believe were in the UK.

Wedding Hall Park Rushden

Wedding Hall Park Rushden

I recently photographed a lovely wedding in Hall Park in Rushden.  The ceremony was in the nearby church and there was a lovely Marquee set up in the walled garden next to Rushden Hall.

There were lots of gorgeous little bridesmaids and it was a perfect sunny day.  A lovely ceremony followed by a lovely reception with lots of Pimms.

Here are a few images from the church.

I particularly loved the cake

We took some pictures in the park which was a fabulous backdrop.

Garden Wedding in Wellingborough

Garden Wedding in Wellingborough.

I photographed a beautiful garden wedding in Wellingborough the weekend before last.  The whole day was filled with colour and laughter – there was a fabulously decorated marquee, stunning brightly coloured flowers, a Mariachi band and Pinata games for the kids.

The wedding started with a bit of rain – I guess on Glastonbury weekend you have to be lucky to avoid that – but it soon cheered up and didn’t spoilt the celebrations at all.  I actually really like some of the images leaving the registry office and walking through the park with the umbrellas.

The sun came out soon afterwards anyway and it was a gorgeous afternoon and evening.

Here is a selection from the day – I have to say this was one of the most relaxed weddings I’ve photographed with a wonderful moment in the ceremony when the Bride got the giggles and it looked as if she might not be able to hold them back.

Like I say a day filled with bright colours and lots of laughter.   I hope you enjoy a few of the highlights shown here.

Wedding Photography Newport Pagnell

I recently did the Wedding Photography for a lovely couple from Newport Pagnell.

Since expanding the Children’s Portrait and Newborn Photography side of my business it is pretty unusual for me to take on a wedding booking but when this lovely lady approached me and told me all about the day they had planned I was delighted to be able to help.

The wedding took place at St Marys Church in Havesham which is a wonderful little church and it was a really beautiful service.  The reception was at The Marle Inn – a peaceful scenic setting that feels a world away from being in Milton Keynes.

It really was a wonderful, happy and moving day.  I have photographed lots of weddings and often people are quite stressed, they are worrying about all the tiny details or the dress or a wedding can be all about the genuine love between the couple and the commitment they are making to one another – and this was certainly the latter.

The sun came out for them, and it was glorious all day.  The Bride had asked that people wore hats and the ladies all looked very glamorous indeed.

So I give you a very happy Bride and Groom, a very proud Dad walking his daughter down the aisle, a day filled with laughter and lots of lovely hats ! Congratulations ….. I wish you all the happiness in the world – but I’m pretty sure you will have that anyway.

The orders of service looked lovely and featured one of my favourite Elizabeth Barrett Browning quotes.

This next photo is one of my favourites from the day – I think a girl should always have a picture with her Mum on her wedding day.

The Groom drove the Bride off to the venue in his Morris Minor.  The Venue was beautifully decorated in a lovely colour scheme with gorgeous flowers and lovely little touches on the tables.  I particularly liked the name placements in the little silver buckets.
