Round up of the year – family portraits in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Another year comes to a close and as we move into 2016 so I’ve been looking back at all the fabulous photo sessions I have done over the last year. I’ve met some gorgeous families that I have photographed in some really lovely locations. Some of the families are new customers and some are families I’ve known for a while and I’ve photographed before. It’s always a joy to see how children have grown and changed since previous sessions but equally it’s always lovely to meet new families.
It’s been a busy year with fabulous shoots in muddy playgrounds, beautiful gardens, bluebells, daffodils and spring blossom, shoots in the woods, amongst the Autumn leaves and in the summer sunshine. Crazy toddlers, beautiful newborns and tons of fun families. There has been lots of laughter and games and bad singing (that would be me, not the customers). There have been piggy backs, bouncing on trampolines, leaf fights and the occasional total meltdown (that would be the customers – the smaller ones – not me).
It was a great year for outdoor shoots – I’m pretty lucky with the weather as I have a personal weather fairy that follows me around – but to be honest unless there is torrential rain or it’s sub-zero temperatures I shoot outside regardless. There are also some indoor shots for the times that outdoors wasn’t an option or the little ones were too young.
So here is a selection of some of the gorgeous children that I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this year – starting in January 2015 and working through the seasons … I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed creating the memories for these families.
And if you are thinking about getting a photoshoot done sometime and you keep putting it off, don’t. Your children will suddenly be older in the blink of an eye. Call me or email me and arrange that shoot. Let’s make you some special memories to keep.
I love chasing little ones around in the park and nothing beats a good splash in a puddle.
Outdoor shoots started to warm up in the Spring time.
I love the light in Spring and all the colours of the spring flowers and the blossom.
Gotta love a cheeky baby with gorgeous chubby arms and legs ….
This shoot below was the third one in a “three in year” shoot from newborn to 14 months
The next few are taken from my Spring Mini-Sessions at Castle Ashby Gardens – stunning gardens and great spots for an outdoor shoot. Get in touch if you’d like a mini-shoot this Spring – they book up fast.
Bluebell season is always a favourite. This year I did some fabulous shoots at Odell Woods in Northamptonshire – a gorgeous blanket of blue – again let me know if you are interested in a bluebell shoot – due to the changes of the seasons these are organised at short notice and are very popular.
The next shoot was from a session at Sywell Country Park – I loved it – two little boys and a lot of mud.
I do lots of extended family shoots which are always lovely – this one a gift for Grandma for a special birthday.
More gorgeous families all through the summer …..
Another busy extended family shoot.
I just adored these two little girls – so much fun.
It’s always great to do shoots with older kids – I had a lovely morning with this family
Shoots at home are really personal. This one was great as they wanted their stunning garden to feature in the shoot – I was just spoilt for choice with all the stunning backgrounds and fabulous colours.
Always sad when Summer is over for another year but Autumn is really my favourite shooting season so in some ways I do sort of look forward to the end of the summer. The Autumn light is always fabulous and kids just love playing in the leaves.
Sometimes a shoot isn’t a shoot without a companion – be it a dog or a teddy bear !
Nothing beats a group of stunning bubbly fun kids messing about and showing their love for each other – this one was just fabulous !
More fun in the bright coloured leaves
