Child Photographer Northampton & Milton Keynes – Beautiful Autumn Images

This morning it was foggy and chilly and beautiful and the world (at least where I live) was covered in hundreds of silvery, delicate, lace-like spider’s webs.  The leaves are turning orange and red, there’s a crispness in the air and everything is taking on the colours of Autumn.  I love this – it’s a wonderful season and a wonderful time for portraits.

As a location child photographer in Northampton & Milton Keynes, this time of year often leads to me creating some of the most fun-filled and colourful portraits that I produce.  Those who follow this blog know I’m a big fan of black and white – colour for me needs to have a reason to exist – that reason is usually environmental and seasonal.

So here are a selection of the beautiful colourful images that I took last Autumn and the Autumn before. Not a black and white image in sight.  So instead of having an ordinary static shoot in a studio setting that looks just like everyone else’s family shoot – why not have a shoot that is more unique to you and your children.  This is a great chance to wrap up the children in cute hats, scarves and wellies and take them out into the fresh air to jump in puddles and play in the stunning multi coloured leaves.

I hope you enjoy these images and decide book your own Autumn Session with me.

If you would like to have a session do get in touch.   I also have a couple of slots left for my mini-sessions this year which are on 26th October and 2nd November.  These take place in the Castle Ashby Gardens where we have a wet weather option with the beautiful Orangery.  As you can see from these pictures below which were taken in the Orangery in the pouring rain, you can’t really tell that this is indoors !

Family portraits – St Albans, Hertfordshire

Family Portraits St Albans, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Well its been a wonderful busy summer and I’m just catching up with the blog and updating it with some of my lovely summer portrait sessions.  One of these sessions was in St Albans near the cathedral.  The family were from Australia and visiting the UK to see relatives.  They are currently based in Micronesia (which I had to look up on a map) where they are living for a couple of years.

We had a lovely morning wandering around the park near the cathedral.  The children fed the ducks and played on the stepping stones in the river.

We just wanted to capture some natural images of them all and as had been spending quite a bit of time in the park, it was ideal for our shoot.  It was a perfect summer’s day and we had really good fun capturing some memories for them to take back home with them.  I hope you enjoy this shoot in St Albans.

Then we wandered back to the house for a cup to tea and a bit of a break before capturing a few more images of the family in the garden together.
