Baby Photos Great Doddington Northamptonshire

This session took place a few months ago but the couple took a little while to pick their favourites from the session.  The little chap was crawling fast and getting really steady on his legs which is a really really fun age to photograph.  As with many of my sessions we started at home, in the baby’s own comfort zone, this works well as it gives the baby a chance  to get used to me and then as it was a lovely autumn day went outside for a few pictures.  Here are a selection of some of my favourites from the session.

Family photography in Bozeat Northamptonshire

So just blogging my last session of the year – this one was done last weekend and features two fabulous little boys and their parents.  This was a lovely session to be able to do as the lovely lady featured here was the runner up in the competition I recently ran on my facebook business page.  I wasn’t planning to offer a consolation prize but since she is not only a very busy Mum, but also someone that does an incredible job funding raising for the Special Care Baby Unit at Northamptonshire Hospital (Gosset Ward) I thought she deserved a little prize.  Gosset Ward do a fantastic job supporting families and babies in the local area and the fundraising team really do work so hard to help raise much need money.   Instead of sending Christmas Cards to my customers this year – I’ve chosen the SCBU at Northampton as one of the charities to receive a donation from Siobhan Murphy Photography.   My Christmas Card Budget is being split between them and the NSPCC.

These pictures were taken in Bozeat, near Wellingborough and it was lovely to meet these two very special little boys having previously got to know them through online albums – they are little treasures and were great fun to photograph.  Hope you enjoy the images in this blog post (and the seasonal snow !! )

Newborn Baby Photos in Wellingborough Northants

This blog post features a newborn baby session in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.   It was a really entertaining morning because the baby’s parents wanted to make a newborn calendar so we created lots of different set ups to make up the 12 monthly images.  Usually I set up the poses and take a few throws and blankets along but sometimes, as in this case, the client gets really involved with how the session runs.  They had lots of different hats for the little fella and ideas of things we could try such as picnic baskets and boxes – I particularly liked the Yummy Mummy changing bag that they wanted to pop him into!   The little boy was a really laid back cooperative model considering he was only 8 days old – here are a few of the set ups including a Baby’s First Christmas Stocking.  I hope you enjoy them – we all had a lot of fun.

Newborn Photographer Northants_Photos of Twins

As you know I love photographing newborns but it is extra special when I get to photograph two together.  These beautiful little twins came to visit recently to have some images taken.  I have a whole natural light newborn photography area in my home that I use to get the best shots of your baby/babies.  I am based near Northampton, Wellingborough, Milton Keynes and Olney.  I have all my throws and props available and I have perfect light all day – which means that I can guarantee you a greater range of perfectly lit images of your newborn baby.  I will still photograph your newborn in your own home if you prefer but it is not always possible to get the same standard of images depending upon the light and space you have available in your home.

It was so much fun getting pictures of the two little boys together – they arrived dressed in the cutest little white outfits with matching hats – which are shown in the images.  I hope you like the pictures.

I love taking natural outdoor pictures of newborns showing them amongst plants or leaves or in the woods but this time of year is just too cold so I set up an image indoors to give the same natural earthy look to the images – using shades of brown and a section of a tree trunk – I hope you like the final look.

And finally at the request of the little chaps’ Mum and Dad we took a picture that they could use for their Christmas card this year .. they had a really cute little outfit for each of the babies to wear – so here it is – just for a bit of fun 🙂

What a great Christmas present these two little fellas are !

Family Portrait Photography in Olney Milton Keynes

This is such a busy time of year for me with portraits being bought for Christmas gifts – there are lots of shoots that I can’t blog at the moment as they are surprises.  So its good to have a few that are not being kept secret to blog.  Because we’ve had such a beautiful bright Autumn I’ve been able to do loads of outdoor family portrait photography shoots in in Olney, Milton Keynes and Northampton areas.   I do quite a lot of shoots in the grounds at Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire as there are lots of great spots to capture images of families and children.

This shoot is also a fantastic example of how great the pictures look when everyone is dressed in colours that tone and coordinate.  People always dress up for shoots and look great individually but don’t always think about how the clothes will work together as a whole.  So, I always advise people on what to wear to make the shoot really work well.  This lovely family really didn’t need my help on the style front and as you can see their chosen combination of blues and cream and camel colours worked absolutely perfectly.

Each time I visit Castle Ashby I find lovely new spots to take images – but this shoot was great as the little girls’ Dad discovered a gorgeous little Lavender garden which I hadn’t seen before and which led to some of my favourite shots of the day.  Hope you like them as much as I do – at the end we had a play in the leaves 🙂
